Senior QA/QC Critical Electrical Manager
Senior QA/QC manager for Facility Solutions at Miller Electric Company. The role reports directly to the Director and VP and requires a client‑facing leader who builds strong relationships while delivering quality in alignment with our core values.
Job SummaryThe Senior QA/QC Manager ensures full utilization of existing tools and programs to follow policies and procedures for projects and work evolutions. Responsibilities include leading QA/QC initiatives, facilitating stakeholder meetings, conducting inspections and audits, and supporting commissioning planning and execution.
Essential Job Functions- Ensuring utilization of tools and programs for overall quality control and operational excellence.
- Facilitating meetings with internal and external stakeholders for QA/QC deployment.
- Conducting regular inspections and quality audits of electrical installations.
- Engaging in project walk-throughs to support QA/QC and commissioning planning.
- Collaborating with project management, engineers, manufacturers, owners, and contractors to establish quality requirements.
- Building long-term relationships with clients and employees through consistent performance.
- Creating QA/QC documentation plans and execution strategies.
- Identifying opportunities for preventative maintenance and NFPA 70B initiatives.
- Interfacing with project and maintenance teams to validate QA/QC and commissioning expectations.
- Providing continuous improvement programs, root cause analysis, and standardization.
- Facilitating QA/QC training and on-site training for team members.
- Developing plans for testing equipment maintenance, calibration, and storage.
- Developing QA/QC templates and folder structures with project management.
- Visiting projects with field personnel to provide hands‑on training.
- Providing consistent feedback and reports to upstream stakeholders.
- Continuously expanding professional knowledge and skills.
- Leading the team’s job‑site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards.
- Strong computer skills (required) and proficiency in the following programs (strongly preferred):

- Quality Bulletins and Templates
- Thorough understanding of levels of commissioning and required documentation
- Process‑based work structure experience and critical thinking
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E standards and requirements
- Experience with electrical installations, switch gear, and preventive maintenance in operational spaces
- Extensive experience in reading and interpreting project specifications, QA/QC controls, and commissioning initiatives
- Experience training project teams on quality requirements and execution
- Minimum of 5 years experience in QA/QC in critical infrastructure spaces
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Field management experience in electrical contracting and maintenance required
- Understanding of electrical installations
- Experience with cross‑discipline critical facility systems and operational experience
- Good understanding of how to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 30‑Hour OSHA Certification required within the first year
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Field management experience in electrical contracting and maintenance required.
- QA/QC program creation and management experience
- Certification in Quality Management
- 10 years electrical quality assurance / quality control experience
- College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license
