Senior QA/QC Critical Electrical Manager

Senior QA/QC manager for Facility Solutions at Miller Electric Company. The role reports directly to the Director and VP and requires a client‑facing leader who builds strong relationships while delivering quality in alignment with our core values.

Job Summary

The Senior QA/QC Manager ensures full utilization of existing tools and programs to follow policies and procedures for projects and work evolutions. Responsibilities include leading QA/QC initiatives, facilitating stakeholder meetings, conducting inspections and audits, and supporting commissioning planning and execution.

Essential Job Functions
  • Ensuring utilization of tools and programs for overall quality control and operational excellence.
  • Facilitating meetings with internal and external stakeholders for QA/QC deployment.
  • Conducting regular inspections and quality audits of electrical installations.
  • Engaging in project walk-throughs to support QA/QC and commissioning planning.
  • Collaborating with project management, engineers, manufacturers, owners, and contractors to establish quality requirements.
  • Building long-term relationships with clients and employees through consistent performance.
  • Creating QA/QC documentation plans and execution strategies.
  • Identifying opportunities for preventative maintenance and NFPA 70B initiatives.
  • Interfacing with project and maintenance teams to validate QA/QC and commissioning expectations.
  • Providing continuous improvement programs, root cause analysis, and standardization.
  • Facilitating QA/QC training and on-site training for team members.
  • Developing plans for testing equipment maintenance, calibration, and storage.
  • Developing QA/QC templates and folder structures with project management.
  • Visiting projects with field personnel to provide hands‑on training.
  • Providing consistent feedback and reports to upstream stakeholders.
  • Continuously expanding professional knowledge and skills.
  • Leading the team’s job‑site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards.
Qualifications Education & Experience – Required

    • Thorough understanding of levels of commissioning and required documentation
    • Process‑based work structure experience and critical thinking
    • Knowledge of NFPA 70E standards and requirements
    • Experience with electrical installations, switch gear, and preventive maintenance in operational spaces
    • Extensive experience in reading and interpreting project specifications, QA/QC controls, and commissioning initiatives
    • Experience training project teams on quality requirements and execution
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in QA/QC in critical infrastructure spaces
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
    • Field management experience in electrical contracting and maintenance required
    • Understanding of electrical installations
    • Experience with cross‑discipline critical facility systems and operational experience
    • Good understanding of how to read electrical and mechanical drawings
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • 30‑Hour OSHA Certification required within the first year
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Field management experience in electrical contracting and maintenance required.
Preferred Requirements
  • QA/QC program creation and management experience
  • Certification in Quality Management
  • 10 years electrical quality assurance / quality control experience
  • College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license
