About the Role

Kanda is seeking a proactive and organised Property Officer to join our team in Cairns, QLD
, reporting to the Property Coordinator. You will support the management of residential and commercial properties, assets, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance, safety, and high standards across our portfolio.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Property, Asset & Compliance Management:Manage property and asset records, lease preparation and bonds (Property Me), and ensure compliance with RTA and legislative requirements.
  • Repairs & Maintenance Coordination:Coordinate maintenance requests, service schedules, contractors, and agents to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Contractors & Suppliers:Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring agreements, licences, insurances, and checks are in place.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Work collaboratively with internal teams, external financial decision makers, and property stakeholders, with an understanding of working with people with a disability.
  • Asset Support:Assist with purchasing, tracking, repair, and replacement of assets, maintaining accurate registers.
About You
  • Experience in a property, facilities, asset, or maintenance coordination role (or similar).
  • Ability to use Property Me for lease preparation and bond management.
  • Experience working with, or a strong understanding of, people with a disability.
  • Ability to work with external financial decision makers and service partners.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
  • Hold or willing to obtain:

    Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check & unrestricted Driver's Licence.
