Position: Dining Room Supervisor
Schedule: 12p - 8:30p, Mon-Sat & 9a - 3p Sun, includes holidays and weekends
Pay: $20-25 per hour, depending on experience
Location: Charlotte, NC 28210

The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dining Room Supervisor to join our team! This position is responsible for being the primary Food and Beverage contact until management arrives. Verifies schedules, checks deliveries and checks for call outs. Provides coverage for any area/server station in the absence of scheduled dining room staff.
Primary Responsibilities:In the absence of the Dining Room Manager, supervises the physical appearance of the dining room area and server stations including table pedestals, table place settings, chairs, floors, drapes and lighting. Coordinates the seating of the residents and guests in an efficient, courteous manner. Schedules stations and work assignments for the wait staff and check out servers to make sure standards are met.
Records meal counts, reservations and additional charges. Complete knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) system. Confers with Dining Room Manager regarding dining room status. Confers with Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage regarding any food, staffing or service issues. Makes morning rounds of Dining Room, Dietary and Kitchen to check staff levels. Manages the Meal Delivery System in the absence of the Dining Room Manager, to make sure delivery meal bags are packed and checked for accuracy.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- A minimum of one-year Host/Hostess or Lead Server experience within fine restaurant, club, hotel or similar institution.
- Available 7 days a week with a primary schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
- Ability to communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with, and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors and subordinates.
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
