The Multi‑Family Sales Consultant Aftermarket is a key part of Allegion’s multifamily demand‑creation strategy. You will champion the Allegion experience and guide property owners and managers through the change process, showcasing how our solutions improve efficiency and business results. You’ll work closely with Allegion partners, coordinate architectural requirements, program and install control locks, and collaborate on MF‑oriented PACS.
What You Will Do- Proactively network at industry events, associations and shows to broaden influencer and end‑user relationships.
- Track local market trends and advise Allegion multifamily teams on strategy.
- Identify product and solution gaps and work with Allegion teams to prioritize new developments.
- Target owners and property managers with existing properties ready for upgrades.
- Partner with RSO teammates and channel partners to execute new lock and software sales.
- Coordinate with the national multifamily team on portfolio opportunities for consistent support and performance.
- Build a robust pipeline of potential customers and revenue to sustain long‑term aftermarket growth.
- Ensure selling strategies meet regional and territory revenue and profit goals, modeling the customer experience that differentiates Allegion.
- Maintain budget and expense parameters to optimize operating profit.
- Utilize CRM for market connectivity, opportunity management, call reports and customer management.
- Use social networking to stay engaged in industry activity.
- Apply a consultative selling approach to position Allegion portfolio appropriately.
- Maintain awareness of Allegion policies, guidelines and procedures and ensure compliance, embodying our values daily.
- High School Diploma required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - 5+ years of sales or industry experience required.
- Experience in the multi‑family vertical market preferred.
- Background in door hardware, electronic access, or security solutions preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative selling environment and build internal partnerships.
- Willingness to travel 50%, including occasional overnight travel.
- Must reside within the Greater Charlotte or Greater Raleigh market to effectively call on customers.
