Overview

We are currently seeking a B2B Sales Professional with experience in or strong knowledge of commercial roofing to join our expanding Sales team supporting Service Operations. This role plays a vital part in growing our service offerings across key North Carolina markets, including Star Care service agreements, Contracted roof repairs, and Emergency and disaster response services.

Responsibilities
  • Core responsibility for executing high-level organizational sales strategies and market growth plans as it relates to NAR’s service business.
  • Calculate square footages and geometrical properties of buildings to produce accurate estimates of material costs.
  • Analyze job information and recommend appropriate design given requirements of governing bodies.
  • Develop knowledge of roofing system specs from major manufacturers and product lines available; remain current on latest requirements, technology, and market trends.
  • Create personal business plan to direct activities to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Effectively manage client expectations through sales process from service program development to implementation and fulfillment.
  • Execute daily follow-ups on open contract repair, Star Care, and service proposals and address customer objections or concerns.
  • Proactively prospect and develop accounts by cold calling and utilizing social media, emails and face‑to‑face meetings.
  • Identify and network with decision makers of existing national or regional accounts to secure all business opportunities.
  • Arrange meetings with relevant decision makers to review maintenance and service opportunities.
  • Document all sales activities in Sales CRM to measure performance and update leadership on progress.
  • Prepare and present presentations to prospective clients, enlisting the assistance of leadership as needed.
  • Negotiate and close opportunities following guidelines approved by leadership.
  • Work with the Service Operations Team to problem‑solve any issues that may arise during the relationship with client.
  • Other assignments as needed or requested.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years B2B experience with a heavy emphasis in selling maintenance plans.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, presentation, problem solving, prospecting and closing.
  • Adept at managing client expectations through sales process from program development to implementation and fulfillment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and negotiate in challenging sales situations.
  • Ability to achieve productivity goals as outlined by organizational metrics.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to perform work in a hybrid environment (office, rooftops, customer spaces, and warehouse).
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions ranging from extreme cold to extreme heat and other inclement weather circumstances.
  • Must be able to carry, set up, and climb extension ladders to reach building heights of 20’ +/-.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder or stairs to get onto a rooftop to conduct a meeting with a customer.
  • Must be able to wear a full body harness when necessary for fall protection.
  • Repetitive finger/hand/forearm motion necessary for completing data entry; ability to manipulate keyboards, telephone keypads, and copy equipment are essential.
  • May have multiple hours working on a computer and/or phone and viewing data on a computer screen.
  • Travel required as needed, both locally and overnight up to 75% dependent on customer needs and visits to site/customers by car in assigned area; may assist out of area as needed which may require traveling by plane.
