Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Solar Area Sales Manager (Outside Sales) to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses a unique gift for quickly building rapport, establishing credibility, and actively listening to customer needs. With a fervent enthusiasm for solar, smart home, and eco‑friendly solutions, you will play a pivotal role in spreading awareness to both home and business owners.

You will manage customer communications, expectations, and follow‑up, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the sales process. This position is full‑time, based in the Charlotte, NC area, and includes some local travel.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and nurture relationships with customers, establishing trust and credibility.
  • Analyze client energy usage and determine the financial return on investment for solar solutions.
  • Generate project proposals and quotes tailored to customer needs and preferences.
  • Actively manage sales pipelines using our Company CRM system (Smartsheet).
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the sales team.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of our products and services.
  • Manage customer communications, expectations, and follow‑up.
  • Execute against generated leads while also developing referral sources.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of sales experience in the solar or construction industry.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Salary Range: $40,000.00 plus commission
