Broker III, Nuclear - Power

Join Aon to apply for the Broker III, Nuclear - Power role located in Charlotte, NC. This hybrid role requires working from our Charlotte office and provides opportunities to work with our Power & Renewables team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on policy coverage, risk exposures, and coverage availability in a client‑facing capacity.
  • Lead discussions and negotiations with insurance markets to deliver best‑in‑class terms, coverage, and pricing.
  • Analyze exposure data, loss history, and unique coverage needs for submissions.
  • Collaborate with team members to create market submissions and facilitate information between clients, account executives, and Renewable Energy leadership.
  • Prepare quote comparisons, binders, policies, and endorsements and draft follow‑ups.
  • Address market conditions, program design, and solve problems for clients and colleagues.
  • Participate in new business development meetings and provide industry and line‑of‑business expertise.
  • Develop and maintain insurance carrier relationships and contribute to thought leadership publications.
  • Assist in developing innovative solutions to changing risk profiles and mentor associates.
  • Input data into the appropriate brokerage systems.
Skills & Experience
  • 15+ years of insurance industry experience.
  • Experience with Navy nuclear submarine power.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player and proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and other business software.
  • Effective use of social media to deliver relevant industry information.
Education & Licensing

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

Must maintain an active Property and Casualty insurance license or be able to acquire one within the first 120 days of employment.

Benefits & Compensation

Competitive salary range: $145,500 – $207,900 annually (U.S. applicants). The actual salary may vary based on experience, geographic location, and internal equity.

Eligible for Aon’s annual incentive plans and discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.

Comprehensive benefits package includes 401(k), medical, dental, vision, paid time off, disability coverage, health savings accounts, life insurance, and more.
