Sales Representative

• Responsible for maintenance and development of customer accounts
• Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales
• Communicate daily with customers
• Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability and uses
• Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests
• Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders
• Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
• Provide customers with product samples and catalogs
• Negotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and order forms
• Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports
• Other duties as required to support on-going sales and other branch operational needs.

College graduate or equivalent work experience

• Excellent English Language skills in reading, writing, and speaking
• Excellent Chinese language skills in reading, writing, and speaking
• Familiar with Japanese food & culture, preferred
• Good driving record required
• Able to drive long distances
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior experience in Asian food sales/distribution industry preferred
• Microsoft Office computer skills required (Excel and Word)
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Take initiative in completing tasks
• Customer service oriented and able to catch on quickly
• Able to prioritize and follow through
• Be punctual and dependable
• Strong attention to detail
• Available to travel on overnight business trips
