Become the Name Property Managers Already Trust
In most sales jobs, you're one of several vendors calling on the same account. This job is built around a different goal: becoming the person a property manager already trusts before anything goes wrong — the first call, not one of the options.
Restore Pro is hiring a Market Development Manager to build that kind of presence across Greater Charlotte's multifamily and commercial property market.
What This Role Really IsThis isn't an account-management role, and it isn't about maintaining a list of existing customers. It's about becoming known — genuinely known — across a market.
Over time, property managers, regional managers, and referral partners across Charlotte should recognize your name before you finish introducing yourself.
That kind of presence doesn't happen by accident. It's built one face-to-face relationship at a time, and it's the reason this role exists.
Backed by a Company With a Reputation of Its OwnRestore Pro has served the Greater Charlotte Metro area since 1998, completing tens of thousands of restoration projects. You won't be building your name from zero — you'll be attaching it to a company that already has one, with the operations, marketing, and leadership to back up what you promise.
Who We're Looking ForThis role is built for multifamily property and community management professionals — people who have spent years running communities, working with residents and ownership, and learning how decisions actually get made on the property side of this business.
The experience we're prioritizing: 3–5 years of property management or community management experience in multifamily housing.
If you also bring sales experience — ideally 2+ years in B2B outside sales or business development — that's a real advantage. And if your background includes selling to or serving apartment communities in areas like these, that experience is valued too:
- Pest control
- Parking lot services
- Landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Janitorial services
- Fire safety and fire extinguisher services
- B2B plumbing or roofing sales into multifamily housing
- Flooring, painting, or turn/make-ready services
- Amenity or appliance supply
- Multifamily software or Prop Tech
- Waste management
- Security and access-control systems
- Renters insurance
Restoration experience is not required. We can teach restoration. Knowing how multifamily communities really run — and earning the trust of the people who run them — is much harder to teach.
What You'll Actually Do- Meet face-to-face with property managers, regional managers, and facility directors across Greater Charlotte
- Prospect new multifamily and commercial accounts
- Build relationships with ownership and management groups
- Develop partnerships with plumbers, HVAC contractors, and other trade professionals
- Lead emergency response planning conversations before a loss ever happens
- Show up consistently at apartment association, commercial real estate, and networking events
- Follow up with prospects and referral partners on a disciplined cadence
- Manage your pipeline and activity through CRM
- Coordinate with operations once a relationship turns into an active project
Being known in a market takes consistent effort. You'll have training, coaching, and support behind you, but the visibility you build is still yours to create.
Why Presence Turns Into PipelineA property manager oversees a portfolio, not a single address. A regional manager oversees several properties. When they already know your name, every one of those properties…
