Lab Technician III
Position Summary / ObjectiveLab Technician III is responsible for planning and conducting experiments as well as analyzing and provides basic interpretation of data and results related to the development of robust, optimized products. The technician has operational expertise, experience and knowledge of equipment and processes.
Essential Job Functions- Participates in the execution of experiments and generation data for design of Experiments (DoE) and statistical testing.
- As instructed by program leader, documents assigned projects and hours in Sun’s GPM.
- Performs laboratory maintenance and housekeeping on a frequent basis.
- Maintains laboratory records.
- Performs basic mathematical calculations to adjust formulas.
- Summarizes data and maintains in request folders for senior analysts.
- Learns and utilizes International Standards Organization (ISO) procedures to maintain compliance.
- Follows Chemical Hygiene plan and looks for safety improvements.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Possesses High School degree or equivalent with laboratory science emphasis.
- Candidates should have 5+ years of work experience, preferably in a chemical, analytical, or biological lab environment.
- Detailed, organized, and demonstrates good writing and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates basic computer proficiency and comfort with Word (tables), Excel and PowerPoint M/S Suite software and can interact and develop proficiency in working with specific software used in lab testing.
- Motivated to learn new concepts, techniques, and practices.
- Displays strong interpersonal relationship skills.
- Works successfully in a cross-functional team.
- Displays good math skills and possesses inquisitive nature.

Support Director by contributing to regular project reviews.
