Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer – Commercial Patrol Agent in Charlotte, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with tenants and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or potential disturbances.
- Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with property management, tenants, and/or visitors as needed.
- Remain alert and attentive while patrolling to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment for all occupants.
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
