Job Title: Travel Risk Specialist
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Max Pay Rate: $43/hr
Schedules: Must be available for either of the following shifts (required on résumé):
7:00am–3:00pm or 8:00am–4:00pm ET
10:00am–6:00pm or 11:00am–7:00pm ET
Flexibility required during crises or major incidents.
We are seeking a Travel Risk Specialist to support the Global Travel Risk Program within the Corporate Security Intelligence & Risk Analysis (CSIRA) team. This role ensures the safety and compliance of Wells Fargo employees traveling internationally (100+ countries) by reviewing travel itineraries, conducting travel risk evaluations, monitoring global incidents, and drafting executive communication.
This is an excellent role for early- to mid-career professionals in global security, intelligence, international affairs, or corporate crisis management who are strong communicators and critical thinkers.
Approximately 70% of the role is administrative, including itinerary review, documentation checks, email communication, and drafting advisories.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview international travel itineraries for compliance related to elevated-risk destinations.
Contact travelers or delegates when information is missing, unclear, or non-compliant.
Monitor the Global Travel Risk mailbox and respond to inquiries professionally.
Use risk platforms (Crisis
24/Worldcue, International SOS, Everbridge, etc.) to track global incidents that may impact travelers.Document all reviews, communications, and actions according to established procedures.
Draft Travel Risk Advisories and executive-level communications.
Provide travel risk oversight for major company events.
Maintain and publish hotel security ratings and country risk assessments.
Support crisis management responses during major global events (may require work outside normal business hours).
Collaborate with Global Intelligence specialists and Corporate Security partners.
2+ years of experience in Business Execution, Strategic Planning, Implementation, or related fields.
Strong critical thinking, analytical ability, and independent decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision in high-pressure or ambiguous environments.
Professionalism and comfort liaising across all levels of an organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Background in international affairs, global studies, homeland security, or related fields.
Experience with mass notification or incident communication platforms.
