Structural Steel Field Welder

Midsouth Steel, a leader in the fabrication and erection of steel stairs, rails, and other miscellaneous steel, is looking for experienced Field Welders.

The role is full‑time on‑site for projects in the Charlotte, NC area and surrounding cities, where the employee will assemble steel structures, work with power tools and welding equipment, handle iron and steel components, ensure safety and fall protection, rig and safely lift steel components, follow blueprints and technical drawings, and collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.

• OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred
• Certifications in welding, forklift, scissor lift, and rigging
• Experience working with power tools and welding equipment
• Proficiency in handling iron and steel components
• Knowledge of fall protection and safety measures
• Skills in rigging and lifting steel components
• Excellent physical stamina and the ability to work at heights
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to technical drawings
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
• Relevant certifications or training in steel erecting or related fields
