A Blake & Pendleton Service Technician provides maintenance/repair support for its customers across various industries such as manufacturing, utility, forestry, and mining. The role primarily involves supporting Sullair compressed air equipment, with a need for extensive experience and a willingness to learn as equipment evolves. Candidates must have safety training and certifications (e.g., OSHA, MHSA).
The position offers a fixed schedule with potential deviations based on customer needs, including on-call rotations managed by the Service Manager. Physical demands include lifting over 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
Requirements:Electrical Knowledge:
- Troubleshooting 120V control circuits and reading wiring diagrams.
- Repairing single-phase and 3-phase motor control circuits up to 480V.
- Using multimeters, ammeters, and infrared meters safely.
- Reading P&I drawings and troubleshooting air compressor controls.
- Performing routine maintenance and setting up rigging equipment.
- Motor alignments, using hand and power tools, and understanding hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of piping and welding is a plus.
EPA certifications with Freon experience are advantageous.
Responsibilities:- Perform preventive maintenance and machine repairs.
- Assist with startup of new machines.
- Coordinate with the Service team and maintain documentation.
