HVAC Start-up Technician

Job Description

Charlotte Mechanical is a well‑respected HVAC and plumbing contractor serving the Charlotte area. We have built a strong reputation in our community and continue to experience steady growth. As a result, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Start‑Up Technician to join our team.

The HVAC Start‑Up Technician is responsible for the proper start‑up, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems on multi‑family construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a construction environment.

• 2–5 years of experience as an HVAC Start‑Up Technician
• Universal EPA Certification (required)
• NATE Certification (preferred)
• Ability to travel, including overnight jobs as required
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Dependable and reliable work ethic
• Willingness to work in an active construction environment
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
