** This position pays $28 an hour
**** Responsibilities
* ** Set up and align forms for concrete according to blueprints or plans.
* Mix, pour, and spread concrete in specified proportions.
* Smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete using trowels, floats, and screeds.
* Monitor the effects of weather conditions on concrete curing and make necessary adjustments.
* Apply sealing and hardening components to cure surfaces.
* Create textured or decorative surfaces by imprinting patterns in fresh concrete.
* Cut expansion joints into concrete using saws and cutting tools.
* Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
* Supervise and train junior workers on proper techniques and tool usage.
* Maintain a clean job site; picks up tools and equipment.
* Other duties as assigned.
** Requirements
* ** Knowledgeable in OSHA standards High school diploma or equivalent
* Must have a valid Driver's License with reliable transportation
* Must be able to pass a background check for SIDA airport badge clearance
* Proven experience as a Cement Finisher or similar role
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
* Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
* Familiarity with power tools and machinery used in concrete finishing
* Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
* Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
** Working Conditions
*** Travel – This project is located in the Charlotte, NC area, with the potential of other locations throughout the Eastern Region.
* Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects. Exposed to high noise levels.
