Compensation
  • Hourly Pay $35.36 per hour.
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over first year
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week.
  • Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week.

Work Schedule
  • 4-day work week. Wednesday-Saturday.
  • Typically work 8:00pm-6:30am, work until work is completed.
  • Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks.
  • Properly attend to truck inventory.
  • Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals.
  • Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.
  • Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer’s specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations).
  • Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working on air brakes.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing preventative maintenance program on diesel engines.
  • Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair.
  • Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections.
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
  • Potential of some commute and work in mobile shop locations (no road side) to satellite locations in company vehicle.
  • Valid driver's license may be required with no suspensions and/or revocations in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years. No CDL required.
