Mover/Crew Member details

Loading, carrying, wrapping, placing. The bulk of the crew, and where most people start.

You work a truck with two or three others. The day starts at the shop, runs until the last box is where the customer wants it, and most of our crew leads started right here.

Nobody expects you to arrive knowing how to wrap a dresser. We expect you to show up when you said you would and to listen on the first job.

What the job is:

• Pad and wrap furniture before any of it moves
• Carry, stack and load so the truck holds together on the road
• Take apart and rebuild beds, tables and anything that won't fit through a door
• Put things where the customer asked, not where they landed
• Leave the house tidier than the truck found it

What we need:

• Reliably on time, because the whole day depends on the first hour
• Able to lift and carry repeatedly through a shift
• Careful with other people's belongings and other people's walls
• Straight with customers, even when a job goes sideways

Hourly. Pay follows what you can do, and it moves as you get better. Hours climb through the summer and thin out in winter.
