About The PositionThe Community Inclusion and Tenancy Supervisor provides direct supervision, coaching, and operational oversight to Community Inclusion Specialists and Tenancy Peer Support Specialists serving Shelter Care Plus and related housing programs. The Supervisor helps ensure timely, high-quality, person-centered services that support community participation, successful housing transitions, housing stability, and long-term community tenure. This position oversees referral follow-up, caseload coordination, documentation quality, staff development, tenancy support, and day-to-day program performance.
The Supervisor serves as the primary operational resource for Community Inclusion Specialists and Tenancy Peer Support Specialists and partners closely with the Tenancy Support and Community Inclusion Manager to support contract compliance, housing retention, successful service engagement, and improved quality of life for members served.

Staff Leadership and Supervision
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, and support to Community Inclusion Specialists and Tenancy Peer Support Specialists.
- Conduct regular individual supervision and team meetings focused on service quality, professional development, workload, and program goals.
- Support the onboarding, orientation, and training of new Community Inclusion Specialists and Tenancy Peer Support Specialists.
- Monitor employee performance and provide timely feedback, guidance, recognition, and development support.
- Promote a collaborative team culture consistent with PRN's mission, values, recovery philosophy, and peer-support principles.
- Coordinate schedules, caseload distribution, workload balancing, and coverage in partnership with the Manager.
- Assist the Manager with performance evaluations, performance improvement, and corrective action processes as assigned.
Program Operations and Service Oversight
- Coordinate community inclusion and tenancy support referral assignments and monitor timely follow-up, engagement, service delivery, and case closure.
- Review caseloads and coach staff through complex situations involving transition planning, community participation, lease compliance, housing retention, service barriers, and housing stability.
- Manage an assigned caseload, providing individualized support, coordinating resources, and maintaining timely documentation to support each person’s goals, preferences, and community participation.
- Ensure required NC DHHS tools and relevant community participation assessments are completed accurately and used to guide person-centered planning, in accordance with current requirements and guidance.
- Support staff in applying the Temple University Mattering framework to strengthen belonging, valued social roles, community connection, and quality of life.
- Ensure services reflect System of Care values and are person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and culturally responsive.
- Monitor service delivery, productivity, engagement, and program outcomes and address concerns with staff and the Manager.
