Junior Software Engineer
Brooksource is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our development team focused on building and enhancing React Native applications for web and mobile platforms. This role will primarily involve front-end development using Type Script and React Native, with opportunities to work on UI features, animations, and enterprise pipelines. You’ll collaborate with a small, cross-functional team to deliver high-quality applications and contribute to testing and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain features for React Native web and mobile applications using Type Script and React.
- Collaborate with team members to implement UI components, animations, and transitions for mobile apps.
- Participate in rebuilding and enhancing core applications, including contact management systems.
- Write unit tests and contribute to automation testing initiatives using Cypress.
- Work with version control systems (Git) and assist with API integration.
- Support enterprise pipeline development and deployment processes in AWS environments.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and collaborate across development and QA teams.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Type Script with experience in React and React Native.
- Understanding of front-end development principles and UI/UX best practices.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and API calls.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Basic knowledge of testing practices (unit testing and automation).
- Experience with Cypress for automated testing.
- Familiarity with AWS services and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Exposure to iOS and Android development.
- Interest in enterprise pipeline development and data transformation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0–2 years of experience in software development or related roles.
