Role DescriptionSMBC is leading a Digital Transformation across its Americas Division. We’re looking for a software developer to join our Nikko development team.
Role Objectives- Design, develop, test, support, and maintain software applications
- Use Python, SQL, C#/.Net, middleware IBM MQ for messaging, and AWS/Azure cloud
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, infrastructure, DBA, and other application teams
- 7‑12 years of professional software development experience
- Hands‑on development in Python and SQL
- Strong knowledge of Python programming
- Strong SQL skills, able to write and simplify complex queries and improve performance
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong analytical and independent judgment skills
- Excellent communication skills; experience speaking to technical and business audiences
- Experience in the financial domain
- Experience with IBM MQ, TIBCO, Rabbit
MQ, or similar messaging tools - Experience with SOAP and REST APIs
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience designing and architecting systems
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
