React Full Stack Engineer (React, Graph
QL, Node.js)
Location: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid (3 days onsite) (Need locals)
Employment type: Contract
Seniority level: Mid-Senior level
Job function: Engineering and Information Technology
Rate: $50 per hour on W2
Base Pay Range: $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement modern, responsive, and accessible web interfaces using React.js and Graph
QL. - Develop and maintain scalable backend APIs using Node.js, Express, and other backend frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to transform requirements into user‑centric features.
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high‑quality code using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern libraries.
- Work with Graph
QL schemas, queries, and mutations to ensure efficient data fetching. - Write reusable, testable, and maintainable frontend and backend code.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Integrate third‑party APIs and services when needed.
- Leverage CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and cloud deployment strategies.
Must‑Have
Skills:
- 6+ years of experience with React.js (hooks, context, functional components).
- Strong UI/UX understanding and experience implementing pixel‑perfect designs.
- Experience with Graph
QL (Apollo Client/Server or similar). - 4+ years of experience building RESTful and Graph
QL APIs using Node.js and Express. - Solid experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Type Script.
- Experience with Mongo
DB, Postgre
SQL, or other databases. - Understanding of component‑driven development and design systems.
- Proficient with Git, code versioning, and collaborative tools (Git Hub/Git Lab/Bitbucket).
- Experience with unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library) and E2E testing (Cypress, Playwright).
- Familiarity with accessibility (a11y) and cross‑browser compatibility.
Nice‑to‑Have
Skills:
- Experience with Next.js, Redux, or other state management libraries.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
