Java API Engineer

Our client in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Java API Engineer to join their team. As a Java API Engineer, you will be part of the Transaction Processing Product team supporting modernization initiatives and core banking transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Java API Engineer

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Pay Range: $55.00- $59.00/hr

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and SOAP-based services for core banking applications.
• Build and integrate Java microservices following established integration patterns.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure scalability and reliability of transaction processing systems.
• Work within Intelli
  
  J as the standard development environment across the organization.
• Deploy and manage services using Kubernetes/Docker, with a preference for Open Shift experience.

• Proficiency in Java, REST APIs, SOAP, and XML.
• Experience with microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with Intelli
  
  J IDE and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes/Docker.
• Knowledge of Git Hub Copilot and AI integration concepts is advantageous.
• Understanding of AI platforms such as Gemini, GPT, and Claude, with the ability to conceptualize AI workflows at the API level.
