Our client in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Java API Engineer to join their team. As a Java API Engineer, you will be part of the Transaction Processing Product team supporting modernization initiatives and core banking transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Java API Engineer
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Pay Range: $55.00- $59.00/hr
What's the Job?- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and SOAP-based services for core banking applications.
- Build and integrate Java microservices following established integration patterns.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure scalability and reliability of transaction processing systems.
- Work within Intelli
J as the standard development environment across the organization. - Deploy and manage services using Kubernetes/Docker, with a preference for Open Shift experience.
- Proficiency in Java, REST APIs, SOAP, and XML.
- Experience with microservices architecture and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Intelli
J IDE and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes/Docker. - Knowledge of Git Hub Copilot and AI integration concepts is advantageous.
- Understanding of AI platforms such as Gemini, GPT, and Claude, with the ability to conceptualize AI workflows at the API level.
