Sr. NodeJS Developer

As a Sr NodeJS Developer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and supporting the API platform and tooling that powers our clients' digital experiences. You will be a valued member of the API Core Engineering team and work collaboratively with other development teams across the Enterprise who adopt and consume our API gateway and frameworks.

• Serve as a technical authority across all phases of software development, including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of the API platform and tooling
• Develop applications, frameworks, and tools for the API Core Engineering division to improve developer productivity and the SDLC process
• Build software applications using Node.js technologies and related programming languages such as JavaScript or Type Script, along with comprehensive unit tests
• Develop CI/CD pipeline tools and frameworks using Git Lab, Python, and shell scripts
• Partner with other development teams to support adoption of the API gateway and frameworks, resolving adoption and usage issues and answering consumer-team questions

• 3-5+ years of software development experience using Node.js, JavaScript, or Type Script, including experience with Python and scripting languages
• Experience developing comprehensive unit tests using Jest, Mocha, Chai, or an equivalent testing framework
• Hands-on experience building and operating services on public cloud (AWS strongly preferred), including designing and developing REST APIs or microservices with versioning, authentication/authorization, and documentation
• Proven experience with Dev Ops tool chains, including Git Lab (CI/CD), Terraform (IaC), Git-based workflows, and source version control such as Git
• Strong understanding of software architecture, reliability, performance, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing), paired with a strategic, hands‑on problem‑solving mindset

• Experience developing APIs with API Gateway support
• Experience working with Platform teams
• Strong cloud experience, with AWS certifications considered a significant plus
