Verastro, Inc. is seeking a Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of a custom collateral management platform for a banking client. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership with architecture ownership across applications, integrations, data, and security.
Responsibilities- Define a cloud-native platform architecture using microservices, APIs, and event-driven integration.
- Design integrations with loan origination, servicing, credit‑risk, and document‑management systems.
- Lead legacy‑platform migration, including data validation, reconciliation, coexistence, and phased cutover.
- Establish security controls, architecture standards, performance targets, and resilience requirements.
- Guide engineering teams through design reviews, implementation, testing, and production releases.
- Present technical designs and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- 15+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, including at least 6 years as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect supporting banking or lending platforms.
- Experience designing and delivering large custom enterprise platforms.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, Domain-Driven Design, API-first design, and event-driven architecture.
- Hands‑on expertise in Java/Spring Boot and/or .NET.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, plus Kafka or equivalent messaging technologies.
- Cloud architecture experience with AWS or Azure, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Strong relational data modeling, ETL/ELT, data reconciliation, and legacy‑system migration experience.
- Experience integrating AFS, ACBS, Loan IQ, nCino, or core banking systems.
- Strong enterprise-security, communication, and engineering‑leadership skills.
- Commercial lending, collateral‑management, or credit‑platform experience.
- Experience with Camunda, Drools, or Pega.
- Familiarity with Angular or React and enterprise document‑management systems.
- Exposure to AI-enabled document extraction, classification, or banking workflows.
