This is a hybrid opportunity for a technologist who wants to work with sophisticated capital markets platforms and deepen their expertise across swaps, derivatives, Python automation, backend validation, and trade lifecycle processes. The role offers exposure to complex financial systems, cross-functional teams, and high-impact technology initiatives within a growing capital markets environment.

• Build, enhance, and maintain Python-based automation supporting swaps and derivatives technology workflows.
• Validate trade lifecycle processes across trading, post-trade, risk, reporting, and downstream systems.
• Work with APIs, databases, files, and message flows to ensure trade data is accurate, complete, and consistent.
• Develop automation and validation scripts for regression testing, backend checks, data lineage, and workflow verification.
• Partner with developers, business users, and technology teams to review requirements, identify risks, and strengthen automation coverage.
• Analyze trade processing issues, data breaks, and system behavior across upstream and downstream applications.
• Support validation of complex trade attributes, lifecycle events, and data movement across internal and external platforms.
• Contribute to CI/CD-integrated test execution, reporting, and continuous improvement of automation frameworks.

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, SDET, backend validation, or capital markets technology.
• Hands-on experience with swaps, derivatives, fixed income, or broader capital markets systems.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle concepts across trading, post-trade, risk, settlement, reporting, or downstream processing.
• Python coding, scripting, automation, or debugging experience.
• Experience with backend validation, API testing, SQL, data validation, or automation framework development.
• Familiarity with trading systems, risk systems, post-trade platforms, OMS/EMS workflows, market data, FIX, messaging, or internal financial systems.
• Experience with capital markets platforms such as Murex, Sophis, Summit, Calypso, Aladdin, Charles River, DTCC, Omgeo, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, Dealer Web, ION, Broadridge, or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills for validating trade data, reconciliation results, reporting outputs, and source-to-target data flows.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments with developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical and business issues clearly.
