Full Stack Developer

12-month contract role with potential for extension or full-time hire

Hybrid Role (3x onsite /week)

Compensation: $80/hr - $90/hr

Join a forward-thinking team at Duke Energy as a Full Stack Developer, where you will help build innovative, AI-driven applications that shape the future of technology. In this role you will design and implement modern, responsive Angular applications (preferably Angular 19) with a Python backend, leveraging the latest in generative AI and AWS technologies. You will work closely with UX teams to deliver pixel-perfect user interfaces, resolve UI/UX issues, and ensure best practices through peer code reviews.

The position also involves significant backend and infrastructure responsibilities, including designing AWS infrastructure with Terraform, integrating a variety of AWS services, and supporting CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments. • Develop and maintain responsive Angular 19 front-end applications
• Design and implement state management using NgRx (actions, reducers, etc.)
• Translate Figma/design mockups into pixel-perfect UI implementations
• Collaborate with UX teams to identify and resolve UI/UX issues
• Participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality and best practices
• Create and maintain built-in test scripts for CI/CD pipelines
• Design and implement AWS infrastructure using Terraform, including Lambda functions, API Gateway (REST endpoints, custom authorize rs), RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, VPC, security groups, private endpoints, S3 buckets, Cloud Front, and ALB configuration
• Integrate applications with AWS services such as Bedrock LLM, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS
• Configure and monitor AWS resources using Cloud Watch (monitoring, logging, alarms)
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Allocate approximately 5% of time to application support activities
• Implement Power BI solutions as needed
• Apply knowledge of Generative AI and large language models (LLMs) in application development
• Stay updated with advancements in AI, AWS, and related technologies, and foster a culture of continuous learning

• 8+ years of frontend development experience, including Angular & Type Script
• 2+ years of backend development experience (Python preferred)
• 2+ years of experience with AWS
• Proven experience designing and implementing modern, responsive Angular applications (Angular 19 preferred)
• Proficiency in state management using Ng Rx
• Ability to translate Figma/design mockups into pixel-perfect implementations
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Knowledge of Power BI implementation
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, VPC, S3, Cloud Front, ALB, Cloud Watch)
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Knowledge or strong interest in Generative AI, AWS Bedrock, and LLMs
• Strong collaboration skills with UX teams and active participation in peer code reviews
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with AI/AWS technologies
