Job SummaryOur client is seeking a hands-on Lead Java Developer to lead a team of senior engineers in a microservices-based environment. This role requires deep Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, SQL, and Open Shift expertise, along with the ability to drive architecture, guide development, and ensure high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Provide technical leadership to senior developers and enforce best practices and coding standards.
- Drive architecture decisions, design reviews, and solution approaches.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
- Use MongoDB and SQL for data design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Oversee deployment and support in Open Shift/Kubernetes environments.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, data, and platform layers.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, and Dev Ops for end-to-end delivery.
- Mentor team members and support engineering excellence.
- 12+ years of Java development experience.
- Strong Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API expertise.
- Deep MongoDB and SQL experience.
- Hands-on Open Shift, Kubernetes, and Docker experience.
- Proven technical leadership experience.
- Strong design, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Maven/Gradle.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Event-driven architecture experience, including Kafka and MQ.
- Knowledge of Spring Security and distributed systems.
- Performance tuning and system scalability experience.
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools.
