Group Fitness Instructor

Job Overview

Group Fitness Instructor at Plus One, an Optum Company — teaching Yoga and HIIT/Bootcamp in a high‑profile fitness center in Charlotte, NC.

• Develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists.
• Build class attendance and offer alternative movements to accommodate all fitness levels.
• Provide class coverage at multiple locations.

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate (e.g., Zumba®, etc.) and current CPR/AED certification (no online CPR/AED certification accepted).
• Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, etc.
• Knowledgeable about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.
• Professional communication using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and relay information to and from clients/guests.
• Effective public speaking skills to engage participants.
• Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Charlotte, NC. Hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75 (California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York City and Washington only). Pay is based on education, experience, certifications, geographic differentials and organizational needs. Full benefits package available for eligible team members.
