Repair or replace damaged trucks, trailers or parts. Develop the appropriate methods for each circumstance.
- Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles.
- Rebuild, replace, or repair vehicle parts such as Cab’s, hoods, trailers, A/C Systems, interiors, electrical assemblies, and accessories including Qualcomm, Lane Guidance, Drive cam, etc..
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and preventive care.
- Establish preventive maintenance and care schedules.
- Discuss mechanical problems with other technicians and help them solve repair problems.
- Perform state safety inspections for all vehicles.
- Operate tools, equipment and machinery, according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and reports any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
- Operate trucks and trailers as needed and be familiar with truck routes.
- Assist in training new drivers
- Keep shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition.
- Recommend replacement of existing equipment.
- Wash and detail tractors and trailers if needed.
- Direct the upkeep and appearance shop and parking lot area.
- Work irregular hours if situation should warrants
- Understand laws and regulations on transportation and safety.

Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repair.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and vehicle parts.
- Ability to direct and supervise personnel and coordinate shop operations.
- Must pass an alcohol and drug test.
- Must complete required safety training and to operate Class A, B, C trucks, with or without trailers.
- Must have an acceptable driving record.
