Overview
2nd Shift Part Time Automated Warehouse Material Handler. The position is responsible for the fulfillment of customer orders by retrieving and stacking specific product and quantities as specified on the pick ticket/computer screen, on a pre-determined conveyor and/or pallet, while traveling throughout the warehouse’s pick area to do so in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. This role builds stable pallets of product while meeting or exceeding safety, accuracy, and efficiency expectations.
Responsibilities- Assist and facilitate in case picking and sorting within the automated environment using computers, software, and complex machines while adhering to safety procedures and policies, multi-tasking, and making sound decisions in a noisy, time-sensitive environment.
- Collaborate within a team to coordinate and organize efficient warehouse processes.
- Adapt to different work areas throughout the day, including HQS, Semi-Automated Lanes, Pallet Pick, and Flow Rack, and meet minimum expectations for those areas.
- Assist in daily housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse, keeping the work area free of trash and debris, cleaning spills, and following waste removal and recycling protocols.
- Work safely, accurately, and efficiently to control inventory and keep shrink at an acceptable level.
- Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support efficient warehouse operations in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting up to 30 lbs and up to 75 lbs as needed.
- Ability to collaborate within a team and coordinate efficient warehouse processes.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen and differentiate packages.
- Ability to work in a noisy, non-climate controlled environment.
- Self-starter with initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
- Proficiency with screens, monitors, and devices to pick accurately within a given sequence.
- Minimum:
Knowledge acquired through 1 to 3 years of work experience. - Preferred:
High school diploma or GED.
Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment.
Compensation & ScheduleLocations:
Charlotte, NC
Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.38 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Mon-Sat; 1:45pm-10:30pm
