General DescriptionThe duties of this position support and maintain quality standards for inventory control, order accuracy, product delivery, and discrepancy investigation & resolution. This role works to ensure best practices across departments in alignment with company strategy, policies, and procedures. High attention to detail and 1‑3 years of experience in quality assurance, inventory management, and warehouse operations are needed.
Responsibilities- Audit outbound shipments for accuracy and adherence to customer order requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy using exception and preventative control methods.
- Investigate, track, and report inventory returns, order discrepancies, and damaged goods reported by customers; provide recommendations.
- Prepare inspection records as needed when merchandise quality is questioned.
- Analyze and report processes and controls related to stocking and receiving to facilitate the delivery of first‑quality product in a timely manner.
- Verify physical inventory counts through cycle counts of assigned aisles using the warehouse management system.
- Lead the annual end‑of‑year physical inventory count.
- Monitor negative inventory and ensure research and correction on a timely basis.
- Identify and propose solutions for inventory issues such as out‑of‑stock inventory, damages, and discrepancies.
- Create and modify warehouse and operational procedural documentation; complete quality assurance processes and systems for corrective actions and recalls.
- Manage and drive the customer Non‑Compliance program, including investigation, tracking, and reporting.
- Proactively investigate non‑compliance incidents and potential chargebacks by accessing customer portals; work with Sales, Finance, and Operations to identify root cause and implement counter‑measures.
- Assist in evaluating new product sourcing to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct first‑article inspection of newly sourced product to ensure fit for purpose, quality standards, and adherence to specifications.
- Assist in vetting new suppliers and evaluating quality procedures.
- Assist in supervising and leading warehouse operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1‑3 years of experience in quality management systems, shipping and receiving.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s degree in Applied Science or related field strongly preferred. - Working knowledge of warehousing operations, shipping, receiving, and handling practices.
- Experience with international shipments and document processing.
- Familiarity with ISO standards is a plus.
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, focus in a busy environment, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Powered equipment certification and safe operating record (pallet jack, reach lift, order picker, skyjack). Training provided as appropriate.
- Ability to perform functions with an RF gun.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with team members from multiple departments, challenging and developing others when appropriate.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and service‑oriented with a “do what it takes” attitude.
- SAP knowledge; troubleshooting i‑docs.
- Experience or willingness to train/ utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts or ride‑ons.
- Normal warehouse/industrial environment with climate variations.
- Significant time standing, walking, exposed to reduced ambient temperatures; occasional lifting and bending.
- Lifting generally limited to 25–30 lbs.
- Assist in supervising and leading warehouse operations as needed.
