* Position Summary:

** We are seeking a detail-oriented
** Cost Accountant
** to oversee and enhance our inventory accounting processes across the company. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and improve costing workflows, ensuring accuracy in reporting and supporting business decisions that drive profitability.
*
* Key Responsibilities:

*** Lead all cost accounting functions, including development and continuous improvement of standard costing practices.
* Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks, ensuring accuracy and completeness of cost-related entries.
* Analyze actual profit margins and identify cost-saving opportunities to improve company profitability.
* Facilitate monthly cycle counts and report inventory variances.
* Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Operations to cost new items.
* Support cross-functional teams with accounting input on key projects and initiatives.
* Maintain and update fixed asset listings and depreciation schedules.
* Provide analytical support for budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
** Qualifications & Skills
***
* Education Required:

** Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferred.
** Experience

Required:

** 1-3 years Cost Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Specific knowledge of cost accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.
* Proficiency with ERP systems required.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines with little supervision.
* Process improvement minded.
* Ability to manage confidential information.
