Account Manager

SPG Environmental is a leading Environmental Wholesale Insurance Specialist headquartered in downtown Charlottesville, VA. We partner with agents and brokers across the country to provide specialized coverage solutions in the environmental space. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized Account Manager to join our growing team.

The Account Manager plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our wholesale insurance business. You will serve as a key point of contact in managing the lifecycle of bound policies - from initial documentation gathering through final invoicing - while supporting broader administrative functions that keep our office running smoothly.

• Manage and maintain organized, accurate policy files throughout the full account lifecycle.
• Secure pre-binding and post-binding documentation from retail agents in a timely and thorough manner.
• Ensure the accurate and timely invoicing of all bound business.
• Coordinate with internal teams and agents to resolve documentation discrepancies or outstanding items.
• Handle virtual mail dissemination, routing correspondence to the appropriate team members.
• Provide general administrative support as needed across the organization.

• Strong attention to detail - accuracy in documentation and data is essential.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Solid time management with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach that thrives in a small-team environment.

• Prior experience in the commercial insurance industry is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with wholesale or specialty insurance operations is a plus.
• Experience with AIM (Agency Information Management) and/or Image Right document management systems is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with standard office software and comfort working in a digital/virtual environment.

Hybrid Preferred:
Ideal candidates will be able to commute to our office in downtown Charlottesville, VA on a hybrid schedule.

Fully Remote Considered:
We are open to a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate with relevant experience and a demonstrated ability to work independently.

The expected salary range for this position is $23-$29 hourly and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
