COMMUNITY SERVICES ASSOCIATE A/CHILD ATTENDANT, WOMEN'S CENTER - CHARLOTTESVILLE (FULL TIME)

This position serves as a CSA A when mothers with children are not admitted in the Women’s Center. The role provides child‑minding while mothers with children attend clinical groups, psychiatry appointments, and/or individual counseling sessions. It also offers parenting support that includes psycho‑education in child development, positive discipline strategies, healthy communication, and boundary setting. The position reports to the Program Manager/Program Director and assists in developing resources to better complete daily duties.

This position requires effective written and verbal communication on a high‑school graduate level. Some experience in child care and/or child development is preferred but not required.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred:
  Understanding of child development and attachment

• Preferred:
  At least 1 year in a residential setting (e.g., CNA, CSA, etc.)
• Preferred:
  Experience with early childhood development

• To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the program, a valid Virginia Driver’s License plus an acceptable driving record as issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles are preferred. For business use of a personal car, a certificate of valid personal automobile insurance must be provided.
