Actalent is seeking a Superintendent of Construction to manage large‑scale health‑care and laboratory projects, ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance.

As a Plumbing Superintendent, you will oversee construction activities for hospitals, laboratories, and large industrial projects.

• Supervise craft in a self‑perform environment.
• Manage subcontractors and oversee projects exceeding $5 million.
• Monitor production and control costs.
• Implement management controls, including schedules, cost control, procurement, and quality/safety during project execution.

• 5 years of experience in Heavy Industrial and Institutional Construction with a background in plumbing and advanced plumbing systems.
• Construction management and mechanical expertise.
• Experience with HVAC systems, piping systems, and plumbing.
• OSHA 30 certification.

• Past personal experience as a crafts person in the mechanical trades.
• Previous or current professional licensing is a plus.

This position is located onsite at the UVA campus, providing a dynamic work environment with opportunities on significant projects.

Permanent position based in Charlottesville, VA.

Pay range: $90 000 – $130 000 per year.

Benefits include ongoing professional training, ESOP program (3 %–6 % of gross), annual bonus program, $50 000 life insurance, employer‑contributed medical (75 %), dental, supplemental benefits, 401(k) with 3 % employer grant, paid vacation, paid holidays, relocation assistance.
