Math Co-Teacher (6-12) - Post High Program- 2025-26 School Year Only
Seeking a licensed math teacher for grades 6-12 to co-teach in our Specialized Academic Classrooms at Trailhead Learning Community. Current Virginia Teaching License required. Preference to applicants endorsed in math with an additional certification in another content area. Candidates with at least two certifications in other content areas also considered. Candidate should be comfortable working with students individually or in very small groups, with experience with students requiring additional sensory and behavioral supports.
Responsibilities- Teach mathematics to grades 6-12.
- Co-teach specialized academic classroom sessions.
- Work with students individually or in very small groups.
- Provide instruction to students requiring additional sensory and behavioral supports.
- Lead instruction and inspire students.
- Current Virginia Teaching License.
- Endorsement in math.
- Additional certification in another content area.
- At least two certifications in other content areas.
- Experience with sensory and behavioral supports.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for closing equity and achievement gaps.
- Prepared to engage with culturally responsive teaching model.
