Assistant Indoor Track & Field Coach - Monticello High School

Coaching stipend. Deadline:
Until Filled. Part‑time, temporary position. After school and weekend hours.

• Assist in developing and training student‑athletes.
• Organize and prepare practice schedules.
• Provide instruction, maintain discipline, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Conduct daily personal contact with student‑athletes for instruction.
• Travel with students to and from matches.
• Collaborate with coaches, administrators, parents, and media.

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations.
• Ability to develop and train AA student‑athletes.
• Personal skills reflecting positive relations with students, parents, and community.
• Extensive knowledge of individual and team fundamentals of track and field.
• Previous coaching experience required.
• Preference for candidates holding or eligible for a Virginia teaching license.
• Required disclosure of prior convictions (except minor traffic violations or juvenile offenses).

Work is performed in school settings including gym and recreational areas. Frequent walking, standing, light lifting, and other physical activities are required. The position involves daily personal and close contact with student‑athletes for instruction and regular travel with student‑athletes to and from matches. Regular contact with other coaches, administrators, parents, and media is also required.
