Overview
Stantec GS, Inc. builds community infrastructure for the U.S. Department of Defense, focusing on the Air Force. We design, plan, and deliver civil, military, and environmental projects, helping federal partners build safe, resilient communities worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development, support, and execution of the Stantec USAF Account, establishing Stantec as the go‑to provider for U.S. Air Force projects.
- Engage USAF leadership to understand upcoming business and teaming opportunities and position Stantec for success.
- Collaborate with Stantec GS Business Unit Leaders, senior leadership, and U.S. Federal staff to pursue opportunities and execute USAF work.
- Seek and enhance small‑business relationships within the DOD small‑business community.
- Seek and enhance relationships with strategic partners within the DOD engineering community.
- Assist in strategic planning activities, identifying potential beneficial acquisitions and transformational projects.
- Perform program management, QA, and related activities supporting the management and execution of projects.
- Represent Stantec in outreach efforts, including professional societies and other organizations linked to the USAF.
- Strong relationships with AFCEC, MAJCOM detachments, Air Force Reserve Command, and Air National Guard installations.
- Knowledge of the USAF civil engineering structure and procurement process.
- Strong understanding of the USAF architectural and engineering market.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining productive relationships with USAF personnel.
- Entrepreneurial orientation with a strong understanding of the business development challenges of a consulting‑services provider.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience leading a team of highly skilled professionals and networking across a large enterprise organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and managerial skills.
- Working knowledge of the Federal procurement SF330 process.
- Ability to travel as required to manage efforts across the U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii as well as selected Air Force bases worldwide.
- Engineering or architectural registration preferred, but not required.
- U.S. Air Force leadership veterans with extensive contracting and execution experience preferred.
- BS in Engineering or Architecture; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience with United States Air Force facilities.
