Captive Aire Systems is seeking a driven and motivated engineer to join our sales team. The role focuses on growing business with existing customers and developing new business. Responsibilities include application engineering, sales support, and field service work. The ideal candidate thrives in a result‑driven, fast‑paced environment.

This position will involve extensive formalized training, mentoring, and hands‑on experience in Captive Aire products, market strategy, and application engineering processes. After training, the role will be based in Roanoke with occasional travel for training and field service.

• Conduct outside sales meetings and calls to build relationships with existing and new customers.
• Apply sound engineering principles to product design and application.
• Manage installation projects, schedules, and plans to ensure on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Provide service and technical support for existing equipment.
• Assist contractors with wiring on site and troubleshoot remotely for kitchen staff.
• Spend two to three days per week in the office on bids, one to two days on job sites, and dedicate another day to territory development.

• Provide integrated application engineering and design support for a wide range of ventilation applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, end users, and dealers.
• Perform inside sales support, application engineering, and outside sales activities.
• Deliver presentations, quotes, submittals, technical support, and job site visits as needed.
• Educate and promote Captive Aire products through calls, meetings, presentations, and demos.
• Research and develop new business opportunities.
• Deliver top‑notch customer service and quickly respond to client needs.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes and customer experience.

• 0–5 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred 4‑year technical degree in mechanical, electrical, construction, or science‑oriented curriculum.
• Excellent computer, organizational, and communication/presentation skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and continuous learning mindset.
• Customer‑focused and willing to travel for training.
• Expected to complete the FE exam within six months of employment for engineering graduates.

$70,000–$100,000 base, negotiable based on experience, with an additional monthly bonus tied to productivity and profits.
