Certified Nursing Assistant - UVA Student Health and Wellness Center
Full‑time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). CNAs assist with caring for patients, collaborate with team members, and follow protocols for vital signs and simple procedures under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor and Director of Nursing Services.
Responsibilities- Preparing patients for appointments (obtaining vital signs and entering data into EMR)
- Maintaining clinic flow
- Assisting staff with procedures (EKGs, ear irrigations, collecting lab specimens)
- Ensuring patient safety
- Maintaining infection control standards
- Preparing patients for discharge and home care (crutches, patient teaching, follow‑up appointments, transportation)
- Maintaining unit supplies and equipment
- Other tasks as assigned
The salary range for this position is $18–$23 per hour and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Background, health, and drug screens will be performed on all new hires prior to employment. This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas now or in the future.
Minimum Requirements- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- One year of experience as a CNA preferred
- Certification required:
Valid license as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the state of Virginia; BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire

Job requires frequent bending/stooping; proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail; ability to write legibly; ability to lift, push, or pull 20–50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
