As an Access team member at UVA Health, you will be an integral member of a team dedicated to providing compassionate care for our patients. Access team members are the face of UVA Health – you are often the first and last contact for our patients and your interactions set the tone for each patient visit to UVA.
Responsibilities- Demonstrates exceptional customer service both for in-person and telephone activities.
- Schedules and coordinates appointments with the correct provider using all appropriate information.
- Demonstrates expected behaviors applicable to the Health System scheduling and registration system and unit policies procedures and guidelines.
- Performs verification functions.
- Performs visit document activities accurately and timely.
- Demonstrates engagement in the work team and goals of the unit.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Starting base rate: $17.50/hr individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's previous work experience, education, and/or experience.
Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus of $3,500. (This bonus comes with a 2‑yr service agreement and is paid in 2 installments.)
Position Compensation Range: $13.38 - $26.76 Hourly.

High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience:
No experience required.
Licensure:
None required.
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly;
Ability to lift/push/pull 20‑50lbs.
