This full‑time position offers a balanced and well‑rounded experience by splitting your time across two adult inpatient services:
Adult Acute Care (20 hours/week) and Adult Nutrition Support Medicine (20 hours/week). You will work closely with nursing, licensed independent practitioners (LIPs), therapies, case management, and social work to deliver coordinated, patient‑centered care.
- Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based, and individualized nutrition care to adult patients (18+) in the inpatient setting as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Partner effectively with LIPs, offering confident and proactive recommendations to optimize clinical outcomes.
- Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition independently, including calorie goals, macronutrient adjustments, and electrolyte/fluid considerations.
- Maintain clear, thorough, and timely documentation within UVA's integrated electronic health record (EHR) system.
