Job Details:

• 13-week assignment with day shifts available

• Choose between 36 or 48 hours per week

• Every other weekend required, must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

• Self-scheduling model (manager will explain during call)

• Must have Level 4 NICU experience, with cardiac PICU experience preferred

• Work in all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics

• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS, and VA state license

• ACCS certification preferred

• Must be competent with Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A equipment

• Epic charting experience required

• Float within scope of practice throughout the facility

• Must be comfortable working in multidisciplinary team requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Care for patients ranging from neonates to adolescents

• Participate in high-risk deliveries and emergency department procedures

• References required for submission

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

This academic medical center features a comprehensive children's hospital with 111 beds, including a pediatric emergency department, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for children under 18. The facility provides primary and specialty care across more than 30 specialties and offers a complex congenital heart program accepting patients with all types of congenital cardiac defects, including transplants and ECMO capabilities.

The respiratory services department works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide advanced respiratory care across all pediatric units.
