Job Details:

• 13-week assignment working night shifts

• Choose between 36 or 48 hours per week

• Every other weekend required, must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

• Self-scheduling model with manager accommodation when possible

• Must have Level 4 NICU experience required

• Cardiac PICU experience preferred

• Work in all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics

• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS, and VA State License

• NRP and ACCS preferred

• Must be competent with Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A equipment

• Epic charting system experience required

• Float within scope of practice throughout facility

• References required

• BSN preferred

• Minimum 1 year of experience required

• Must be comfortable working in multidisciplinary team requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Care for patients ranging from neonates to adolescents

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

This comprehensive medical center features a specialized Children's Hospital with 111 beds, providing primary and specialty care in more than 30 specialties. The facility includes a pediatric emergency department, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for children under 18. The organization offers a complex congenital heart program accepting patients with all types of congenital cardiac defects, including transplants and ECMO capabilities, serving patients throughout the commonwealth and beyond.
