Overview
Jobs in this job family are responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to support patient care, clinical research, and medical education. These roles utilize advanced imaging technologies—such as X‑rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology—to produce high‑quality images that aid in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of medical conditions.
ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures using X‑ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. Screen for and diagnose breast abnormalities with mammography equipment, perform breast imaging, and provide essential diagnostic information to clinicians. Operate mammography equipment and perform breast imaging to diagnose breast abnormalities and give essential diagnostic information.
Qualifications- Graduate of a JRC accredited program in Radiography required;
Associate’s Degree in Radiography preferred. - Completion of an FDA certified Mammography Tech Training Program required.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; ARRT (R)(M) certification required within one year of hire.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 50‑100 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
CompensationStarting base rate for this role is $33.27 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
