Healthcare Nursing, Patient Care Technician
The Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital Emergency Department is hiring a Full Time Nights ED Technician 7P-7AThe Emergency Department Technician assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse.
De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
Certification/Licensure
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.
- New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum Education
2. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR
3. Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester within the program.
4. Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.
Education
- HS Diploma or Equivalent GED (Required)
- One year prior healthcare experience (Preferred)
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
