Description

The Residence Host will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous service to residence guests, patrons, and visitors in accordance with CORE Quality Experiences. The Residence Host acts as both a guide and a gatekeeper to the hidden wonders of Birdwood Mansion. When not attending to daily tasks, they will prepare the house for upcoming gatherings.

Major responsibilities:

  • Greet and escort guests promptly to their destinations and address their requests.
  • Provide historical information through storytelling and shared experiences. Act as a guide when guests ask for directions and assist them physically within the hotel.
  • Create personalized conversations to identify guest preferences, record them, and act upon them in the property's management system.
  • Be proactive in anticipating guest needs to ensure a successful experience.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating with and assisting team members as needed.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the Mansion and Boar’s Head Resort by attending daily briefings and reviewing relevant information.
  • Deliver quality service to guests by responding promptly, efficiently, and courteously during all phases of their experience.
  • Coordinate with Dining, Housekeeping, Guest Experience Call Center, Sales, and Culinary teams to fulfill guest services.
  • Handle guest correspondence and communicate effectively with team members through shift notes and reports.
  • Assist with Dining Room and In-Room Dining orders, as well as housekeeping requests.
  • Manage Dining Reservations and oversee the table management system in coordination with Sales & Events.
  • Handle cash drawer according to Boar’s Head Resort accounting procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Residence and Residence Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel and restaurant experience.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong desire to provide excellent guest service.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
