- Support data center operations including rack and stack of equipment, upgrades and consolidations, power transfer during outages, and general data center system administration support.
- Support hybrid cloud-hosting alternatives and work with a team to meet mission needs and ensure customer capabilities are functional.
- Rack level redundancy techniques, rack standards, power rail/strip options, cold aisle/hot aisle containment, and standards for fire suppression, security and safety.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of servers; rapidly distinguish isolated user problems.
- Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, and develop/implement solutions for incident tickets and requirements.
- Develop solutions to complex technical issues and provide follow-up reports for root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Support customer requirements in a 24/7/365 mission environment and respond to after-hours emergency calls (power/cooling disruption).
- Update operations and maintenance documentation for 24/7/365 personnel.
- Mentor junior team members and provide support to other Infrastructure Operations teams based on System Administration skills/experience.
- Experience with interacting with customers to handle service inquiries and problems.
- Experience working in a data center.
- Knowledge of data center standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of power infrastructure layout from generation to rack level, redundancy levels and techniques, rack standards, properties and selection criteria, and power rail/strip options, cold aisle/hot aisle containment, and standards for fire suppression, security and safety.
- Experience with Tier 2 system administration.
- Experience troubleshooting issues in a growing environment.
- Time management skills.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Track record of working effectively within a team and supporting peers toward improved processes and results.
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) products such as Service Now or Remedy.
- Experience mentoring others.
- Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) - IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher)
- Candidate must have a BS with 4 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
- An active TS/SCI with poly is required for the position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
