We’re looking for a detail-driven, process-minded professional to join our team as a Centralized Recon & Arbitration (CRA) Manager. This is a high-impact role where you’ll safeguard margins, speed up reconditioning, and drive accountability across multiple stores.
Why This Role MattersThe CRA Manager acts as the single point of authority for reconditioning and arbitration decisions across Honey Car. You’ll make the call on whether vehicles get repairs, arbitration, or wholesale, ensuring every decision aligns with ROI and company strategy. You’ll also handle warranty claims, cutting through red tape to deliver fast, fair resolutions.
This role is for someone who thrives on process discipline, financial prudence, and customer advocacy.
Responsibilities- ASR Review & Approval:
Oversee all Additional Service Recommendations in CDK Service & Rapid Recon. Approve or deny work based on ROI, vehicle grade, and company standards. - Condition Report Verification & Arbitration:
Compare auction reports against Honey Car’s inspections, file arbitration claims, and recover losses from misrepresented vehicles. - Warranty Claim Liaison:
Act as the main contact for Ethos warranty claims, ensuring fast documentation and resolution. - Communication & Training:
Maintain clear channels with Recon, Inventory, Technicians, and Buyers; provide feedback and set consistent standards. - Reporting & Accountability:
Deliver weekly reports on recon spend, arbitration outcomes, claim turnaround, and cycle times.
- Average ASR approvals completed in under 15 minutes.
- Reconditioning cycle time maintained at ≤5 days.
- Recon spend controlled within ±10% of grade-based budgets.
- Arbitration claims identified and filed on time — no missed windows.
- Faster warranty resolutions, reinforcing Honey Car’s commitment to customer trust.
- Automotive experience in reconditioning, service, or inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of auction operations, arbitration, and condition reports.
- Proficiency with CDK Service and/or Rapid Recon (preferred).
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to make quick ROI-driven decisions.
- Excellent communicator with proven ability to manage cross-departmental workflows.
- Must live in Virginia or within commuting distance to one of our dealerships (Charlottesville, Winchester, or Roanoke).
